I’ll be stuffed but the Kakariki cock bird has disappeared. How he managed to get out of the aviary is beyond me, but he has. I like to think he’s off looking for his lost mate (see previous post) – ya not gunna find her dude – but fly free.
His name was James Bond. Why call him that? Well in the back wall of the aviary there was a little hole (ex screw or bolt hole), he used to sit near it and look out of it – sorta like he was spying on something.
