AI Can Be A Giggle
Been faffin’ about with Fooocus and FaceFusion (both will open in a new tab or should at least) lately and talk about a giggle, the biggest issue is ‘prompts’ – talk about an annoyance, but I’ll get there. The image shown is just Fooocus, the first one I’ve managed to get to show a full body, it usually chops them off at the knees 🙂
What would you like back from your child hood?
I’ve been drifting along this morning wondering what happened to stuff I’ve owned – the gun set which could be like the one shown, all I can remember is mine was in a wooden box – it could well have been hard cardboard made to look like wood, I could have sworn there was a Luger or Beretta in there but hey-ho time has a habit of clouding memories. No idea what happened to it, it just disappeared when we came to Australia, prob nicked by customs.
The other thing I’d like and I’ve found plenty for sale but a $1,000 is a bit over the top is the Action Man Jeep

Windows, Ya Gotta Love It
Just spent an age trying to download the Win 10 ISO so I can finish sorting the Dell Precision T3500 with the upgraded CPU and 48GB of ram – so much for the max ram of 24 😉 but I digress. Spent an age fuckin’ about with the media creator that M$ want you to use seeing as they’re discontinuing Win10 but finally got it sorted and it’s installing – yip fuckin’ ee as for Win11 fuck that junk, I’m not spending a fortune on a new machine just to keep M$ happy!!
I happen to like the Dell T3500, pretty much bullet proof providing you don’t knacker the CPU pins like I did so I ended up having to buy a replacement board grrrrr. That gives me two machines fully functional, that one and the one I’m on now, which is a HP Z820 with Dual CPU’s Intel Xeon E5-2687W @ 3.40GHz and 96GB of ram, 2 x 2TB SSD’s, 2 x 2TB spinners and a 2TB NVME drive, along with a GTX 1060 6GB running a huge Samsung curved monitor.
The bloody HP is great for games, well so’s the Dell but hey ho I’ll use the biggest 😉 hanging off them is an Asustor NAS with 16TB of space.

Watch Pins Are Magical
I’m surprised how magical watch strap pins really are, I think they’re related to 10mm sockets 😉 Spent the last two days trying to fix or should I say ‘FIND’ the spring pin on my vintage Seiko strap after it went ‘sproing‘ and disappeared, ended up giving up and taking a pin from another vintage watch to fix it. I feel naked without it, only take the damn thing off when I go to bed or have a shower. It was the father-in-law’s and it was left to me when he passed in 2004 – still the have the original receipt from the jewellers from 1978, it’s one of my prized possessions so yeh fixed it but also ended up buying a shed load of pins and replacement watch batteries to fix other watches I have – hey ho never throw stuff away 🙂
That’ll Do
I’m over MySQL databases, I’m yet to look at the one behind this version of WordPress but the earlier versions I was using was a bloody mess so I’ve given up as they won’t dump and the multiple instances of posts was getting enough hence the reason behind mis-dated/confused dated posts 😉 .
All that’s left is to sort the Gallery (I’ve cocked that up already) and call it done, then I can concentrate on posting new stuff.

Who Is An Idiot – or My Oopsy

I mentioned the other day my like of working with timber, and two days ago I decided it was time to have a quick tidy up, that being put wood where the wood should go (I always put tools away as I finish with them) seeing as I’d made a slight mess doing the restore of the rare as rocking horse excrement Modelo 1813 Asturcon (with provenance I might add) bass.
Anyhoo, I saw three 10 foot lengths of timber that could be put on the rack in the other shed, plus a 5′ x 5′ 6mm sheet of MDF that could go in the same place. Actually the MDF is two 6mm sheets stuck together with two more 5′ x 2′ stuck to that as bracing (I was using it as a roof section on a store room for a while) so I grabbed the MDF first and stacked that, then went and got one of the 10′ lengths and seeing as I had to stretch over the MDF to stack the 10′ length I knocked the MDF which obviously wasn’t stacked real well and it slipped off the rack, twisted and came down corner first. Did it make me yell? Hell yeh it did, it made a noise a big noise – but the bigger noise was coming from me as that corner came down on top of my right foot and yes you guessed it I wasn’t wearing boots (who wears boots to clean up?).
So after covering the shed floor in what looked like gallons of blood (weren’t really but hey I’m a musician I can exaggerate) I hopped out of the shed and in to the house only for her who must be obeyed to yell at me for being a dipstick and getting blood on the carpet. Personally what’s the more annoying part is I use both feet when playing, the left for the sustain pedal, the right to switch patches but if I move my right foot too much now it splits the skin and makes it get all bloody again so I\’m stuck with trying to do everything left footed at the moment.
Anyway the moral of this story?
WEAR PROTECTIVE GEAR EVEN IF YOU’RE JUST CLEANING UP HARMLESS STUFF OR THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU, AND YOU TOO COULD FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT!!
Time Travel

Sat there last night watching a scientist\’s view on Dr Who and the more they babbled on the more it showed that Dr Who has a lot to answer for in regards to science fiction/fact crossovers – how cool is that.
The bit I found interesting the most was time travel (as you would 😉 ) but the more I thought of it, the worse it got IF you could travel backwards in time. Extreme scenario would be if you for example saved a child from being run over and that child then grew up to be the worlds most wanted terrorist, whilst not affecting you personally, the world would definitely change because of his existence.
You couldn’t go back a visit your parents when you were a toddler e.g. you knock on the their door with a fake story – you know oops sorry wrong house. Now they may just fob you off BUT when you return to your own time there would have to be a ghost of a memory of someone who looked IDENTICAL to you who knocked on their door decades ago.
Damn this time travel is like walking on egg shells, makes you think though 🙂
All Fall Down and Dogs

I was happily doing something in one room (I think I was making coffee) when I hear a rather disturbing crash from another. What do I find when I reach the room? The Roland, the mixer, a computer monitor and assorted cables laying in a tangled heap on the floor 😐 The way I’ve got the two tier stand set up is RS-9 on the lower, then a solid mount with a computer monitor at eye level – it saves me from having to turn my head to see what’s goin\’ on.
Thankfully nothing was broken, and why the stand decided to collapse is beyond me coz everything is tighter than a ducks arse so it shouldna collapsed, another thing I can be thankful for is her who must be obeyed bought a border collie and he likes to wind himself through the cabling, he wasn’t anywhere near the room when it all came down. He’s a smart bloody dog and it wouldn’t surprise me to see he’s worked out how to use a shifter and loosened the mounts just to drive me nutso 😉
